Brigadier General Stephen M. Seay, since leaving active military service in September 2005, incorporated Seay Business Solutions, LLC, a Florida Small Business, joined the Board of Directors of, eMagin Corporation, New York/Washington (OLED/micro-display); Director, Treasurer, now Secretary, Kid’s House of Seminole, Florida (Child Advocacy); Board of Trustees, Orlando Science Center, Orlando, Florida (STEM); Member, Florida High Tech Corridor Council and Team Orlando, Central Florida; Member, Policy Committee, National Modeling and Simulation Coalition, National (M&S Industry); Partner with Seminole County, Florida, addressing regional veteran homelessness; Senior advisor and business mentor, Talon Simulations, LLC, a University of Central Florida Incubator small business simulation, and virtual reality gaming spinout company; In addition, Associate, The Spectrum Group, Alexandria, Virginia and CMA & Associates, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Steve has over 40 years of direct senior-level leadership in operations, high technology research, development, program management, life cycle maintenance and training of sophisticated systems, including software, hardware, electronics, micro-display, cyber systems and mission command platforms. Seay Business Solutions, LLC, line of business includes, leadership, mentorship of military/civilian professionals, university students and student-athletes, strategic planning, programmatic due diligence, senior strategic business planning, program management, fiscal oversight, programmatic, and executive personnel management actions.
Steve is an innovator in integrating training systems, products and services, utilizing a holistic system engineering approach across technical domains. Steve’s practical experience creating, facilitating and controlling interoperable training scenarios, utilizing modeling and simulation systems to enhance and broaden training realism translates to innovative system engineering solutions by the modeling and simulation industry.
Steve’s over thirty-three year Army career, culminated as the Commanding General, Joint Contracting Command-Iraq, Head of Contracting Activity (HCA), Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq ($18.4B) and Program Executive Officer, U.S. Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), Orlando, Florida. The financial management responsibilities of PEO STRI grew from over $700M to more than $2.1B, thus providing greater support to joint service members.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire, where he was a three sport student athlete, and a Master of Science degree from the North Carolina State University.
