Richard P. (Rick) Boggs
Rick Boggs has had a distinguished technical career of over 30 years with Lockheed Martin, most recently holding the title of Senior Fellow and serving as the Visual Training Subject Matter Expert and University Relations Engineering Lead for Training Logistics Solutions. With proven leadership in simulation engineering and system development, Rick’s previous roles with Lockheed Martin have also included Chief Engineer and Chief Architect for the Joint Strike Fighter Training System, and Project Engineer for the U.S. Army Close Combat Tactical Trainer.
In recognition for his many contributions to the state of the art in simulation and training, Lockheed Martin appointed Rick as a LM Fellow, within which he served as the Fellow in residence of the newly open STS Innovator’s Garage, Technical Lead for the Immersive Persistent Virtual Environment IRAD, Technical Lead for the One Visual project, Technical Lead for the Global Vision and Solution Center and serving on the Chief Technologist’s Staff. He also supported university relations by building technical relationships with North Carolina University, University of Central Florida and Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center.
Early in Rick’s career he served with the U.S. Army for four years stationed in West Germany, and performed duties as an Executive Officer, System Manager, and Project Officer. Rick holds Bachelor of Science Degrees in Computer Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
